Technology plays a very important role in our lives, making previously tough tasks far easier . One name that stands out among all the others is the Virgin brand. The companies within the group have continually grown over the years, and this is noticeably evident for a business empire that first started off as a student magazine back in 1968 ! Over the years Virgin has branched out to cover many other ventures, such as television and gyms. The name itself came from the company owner’s first collaboration with somebody else, and how they considered themselves as ‘virgins’ in the business world…

Another massive name is that of Sir Richard Branson with his attitude and spontaneous joint-ventures allied to his viewpoint of, “focusing on what people need, on how services and products can be improved to make them more practical, comfortable and enjoyable” . His entrepreneurship and forward-thinking approach to managing his venture capital conglomerate is amazing, solely because of his passion of trying out new philosophies . Sir Richard Branson is prone to attaching the word ‘fun’ to everything he sees and does . He is an adventure-seeking individual who is also always enthusiastic about taking risks, even when the end result may return nothing .

Virgin is a group of smaller businesses that collectively make up the mother brand’s name . Virgin Holidays is a prime example of how Branson’s venture capital system works . Guidelines are still followed through each company’s veins to ensure that Virgin’s name isn’t tainted with anything too unconventional . With this, Virgin Holidays becomes an entity in itself, not part of Virgin Atlantic, which simply deals with flights . Although different, they are still a division of the Virgin ‘chain’, where the core perspective is laid across the table and for customers to “get what they want, exactly the way they want it” .
